Nursery Update!

I have had some requests for some updated pictures of the nursery. Enjoy!

and just so you do not get the illusion that we are organized and ready to go...here are some pictures of our piles which are now in the nursery but have yet to be organized.

Lots of love for the baby!

In one week, Ryan and I were so lucky to have two baby showers thrown for our new little guy.  The first one was our "Baby Bash" given by Heather.  Ryan and I were overwhelmed by all of the love and support given to us that evening.  From all the people, friends, family and co-workers, to the sweet cupcakes made by Cori and the generous gifts for the baby, we have never felt so loved. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us and a huge thank you to Heather and my parents, for throwing us the perfect "Baby Shower". Below are some pictures from our wonderful open house.

My wonderful co-workers also threw me a shower at school.  Danielle and Aimee did a wonderful job decorating and embracing my love for monkeys! The staff room look adorable and I am feel so honored that so many fellow Panthers ignored the snow and stayed to celebrate with me.  I am so blessed to work with such wonderful people. Ryan and I, again, were overwhelmed by the love, support and generosity of everyone.  This little guy has no idea how excited the staff at Franklin are to meet him.  Below are some pictures from the great shower at school.  Thank you again to the wonderful staff at Franklin!

50 days!!!

Today I noticed that the pregnancy ticker says 50 days until due date...crazy! This made me curious about how many work days I have left and that number is only 24. Time has gone by so fast! Emmett is going to be here before we know it...now if only he would remove his foot from my ribs for the next 50 days ;)

Holy Baby Clothes!

Now that the nursery is painted, void of our stuff, and the furniture is put together, it means that the organization can begin. This is where my type A personality comes into full swing.  Thanks to friends and family, our little guy already has quite the wardrobe.
I have had several people ask why we did not register for clothes...
I think this picture explains our reasoning very well.

Babies in hats make me happy. I am sure this is just the start of a rather large hat collection.

My mom and I have some pretty serious shoe addictions...
do you think we are passing it on?

hmmmm...

Ryan took this picture as he was putting together the crib. Apparently, Wilson did not feel like Ryan was paying enough attention to him and decided to lay right in the middle of the crib. I wonder if this is a sign of future jealousy...I guess only time will tell. :)
