Emmett's First Road Trip

Ryan and I decided to take some time and head down to the Oregon Coast. Our first stop was Tualitin to pick up our new, fancy, camera.  We are super excited about it and may have gone a little over board with the pictures.  I will post some comments and captions but in order to save myself some time, most pictures may go without an explanation. 

Our next stop was McMinnville for one night (see previous post about my Hawaii girl reunion). Emmett had never slept in his Pack N Play but he did great.

An extra morning snooze with Dad.

After a very yummy breakfast at our favorite spot in McMinnville, Wildwood Cafe, we were ready to head to the coast.  We went down to the Lincoln City for some outlet shopping before heading back up north to Seaside. Emmett did a great job and seems to have inherited his dad's love for car rides.

Once we arrived at our hotel, we were pretty tired but Ryan was excited to play with the new camera. Below is a bunch of pictures he took as we hung out in the hotel room.

Day Two in Seaside started with a stop at Ave Q (a favorite musical of ours) and some exploring around town. We quickly managed to find a cute candy store and some "touristy" spots to take some pictures.

We then headed down to Cannon Beach.  Thanks to the awesome, Fall like weather, we were pretty bundled up on the beach. Emmett seemed okay with it.

Right as we started to walk to the beach, a rather large rain squall came over us. We managed to find a dry spot quickly and hung out for about 20 minutes while the rain poured.  Ryan, once again, enjoyed playing with the new camera.

The rain finally stopped and we headed down to the beach and to Haystack Rock.  Emmett slept through his entire first beach experience.  Hopefully next time we will be awake and more interested in the sights.  Once again, Ryan enjoyed the camera. I did manage to get it away from him a few times, so he could be in some of the pictures. I am squinting like crazy in all of the pictures because I left my sunglasses in the car :(

Leaving the beach, we drove by this house that had these adorable bunnies in the front yard. So cute!

 After a ton of fun, it was time to head home.  Thankfully, the major rain waited to come on our last day.  We managed to get outside for quick photo in front of our hotel. We were very grateful to be in the car for the remainder of the day because it poured.

We had such a blast on our trip and since Emmett proved to be a great little traveler, we hope to go on another adventure soon.
