Happy Easter!

One Month old and his first Easter. It was a busy day but I suppose this is just an introduction to the chaos that will be Christmas :)

We had a little photo shoot before we left the house. I just loved his outfit!

First stop was Rara's house for a visit with the Hovey family.

Next stop, was my parent's house for dinner with the whole fam-damily. I only held Emmett if he needed a diaper change or was hungry but he had some wonderful bonding time with his people. Apparently, I only felt the need to take pictures of Jonathon and Eric. Oops!

The next two pictures are my favorite...
nothing is as sweet as Uncle/Nephew bonding.

Not a fan...

Now that Emmett is all healed up, he was finally ready for his first bath in the baby tub. He did not like it. He screamed the entire time, which is exactly what he did during sponge baths also. Apparently, this kiddo is not a fan of being clean.

3 weeks and 2 days old, weighing in at 9 pounds...

Emmett is starting to get on a predictable schedule which includes more time during the day when he is awake.  This is my favorite time of the day because he is happy to lay on his back and make faces at me...here are just few.

Out and about...

The weather is beautiful again and we are taking full advantage. This time we went over the Point Defiance Off Leash Dog park. Wilson played and Emmett spent some quality time napping in the Ergo.  I have a feeling this is going to be a regular experience in all of our lives.

Wilson had to share the back seat of the truck for the first time...he does not seem to care.

Yep, he dug and hole and laid down in the bushes...he is a happy pup.

Better late than never...

Since Emmett decided to arrive early, we had some unfinished projects for the nursery such as wall art, valances, shelves, etc.  Almost 3 weeks later, we still have some unfinished projects, more specifically the projects that Ryan and I are in charge of, however the projects that my family helped with are complete.

I was feeding Emmett when the valances were hung so I do not having any pictures of the process but they sure look cute. Thanks Mom!!!

It took my mom, dad and Ryan two attempts (Sunday and Monday evenings) and one trip to the hardware store to hang the shelves for the alphabet pictures but in the end it worked out and looks amazing.

This project was a family affair, starting with my ridiculous idea, my brother taking all the pictures around town and editing them, my mom and brother framing them and my parents figuring out how to hang 26 picture frames on the wall without having them look messy. I am SO thrilled with the outcome. I love my family!

Wilson and Emmett were not very helpful but they sure are cute. :)

Trying so hard

Wilson is attempting to interact with the baby. He struggles to understand that a 19 day old is not going to throw his ball...but it is cute of him to try.

P.S. This post was added via my phone so if it looks different that is why.

The sun is out!

Finally a day of sunshine, calm winds and warmer temperatures! I decided to take advantage of this wonderful weather and get all three boys out of the house. Emmett enjoyed his first outing in his stroller, Wilson was thrilled to just to be out of the house and Ryan humored me. I know this is just the first of many walks around the neighborhood. Our next great outdoor adventure will be to the dog park hopefully the weather cooperates.
