Trying so hard

Wilson is attempting to interact with the baby. He struggles to understand that a 19 day old is not going to throw his ball...but it is cute of him to try.

P.S. This post was added via my phone so if it looks different that is why.

The sun is out!

Finally a day of sunshine, calm winds and warmer temperatures! I decided to take advantage of this wonderful weather and get all three boys out of the house. Emmett enjoyed his first outing in his stroller, Wilson was thrilled to just to be out of the house and Ryan humored me. I know this is just the first of many walks around the neighborhood. Our next great outdoor adventure will be to the dog park hopefully the weather cooperates.

Some kids just need to suck

On Emmett's 2 week birthday I caved to the pacifier...I am standing strong that I did not want to use a pacifier but I could not hold up against, Ryan, my mom and the pediatrician (who at our appointment earlier in the day, highly recommended it).  So here we are, 2 weeks old and he is loving every minute of his pacifier.  I must say, he does seem happier and so far it does not seem to affected his eating. I might even say, it seems to have helped his little digestive system. He eats less often (although he is still eating every 2 1/2 hours or so), has less gas and less hiccups.  Ugh...I hate having my plans messed with but according to the Happiest Baby on the Block, some kids just need to suck and it seems as though I have one of those kids. Oh well, I am now welcoming the pacifier into our lives, I guess I better get use to my plans changing.

My parents were over last night for the pacifier introduction and some how my mom got lose with the camera. Here is our evening from the eyes of a grandma.

I think she took this picture because she had just been holding Emmett and the the pass off caused tears. No worries though, Emmett's Buddha had it under control.

"Oh pacifier...how I love you.."

An odd family photo but at least it has all four of us in it.

Emmett meets more cousins...

On Wednesday, Emmett got to meet more of his large family. Char, Paul and the girls stopped by for a meet and greet.  Emmett slept through most of it but the girls all got a chance to hold him so everyone went home happy.

"Where is the suck harder button"....

Jon and Amy have been so generous in sharing all of their baby goodies.  The most recent item to arrive is the fancy breast pump.  Amy wanted to show me how it worked however Ryan seemed to be the most interested...

Does he seem to be enjoying this a little to much???

Why does everyone look so serious?!?!?!?

This may be my favorite picture of Ryan ever!!!
Yes, the pump was on and sucking.

Oh the love!

Emmett met several very important people over the past few days. The first meeting was with his Auntie Heather, who loves him so much she cried when she had to say goodbye.  It was wonderful to have Heather here and we are already looking forward to her next visit.

Next, Emmett met his Great Grandma Rara.  Rara was the last of the great grandparents to meet Emmett but he loves her just as much.  Emmett and Rara shared many sweet moments including some awake time to chat and later, Emmett took a nap on Rara. We had a great time in Everett.

Last but not least, Jon, Amy and Joshua visited today.  I don't have many pictures of them with Emmett because I was having so much fun watching Joshua and Wilson interact.  I think Wilson was thrilled to have someone show up that was more excited to see him then the baby.  I have a feeling that there will be many blog posts in the future featuring the Emerson family.
First, the two pictures I took of Jon and Amy with Emmett...

Now, the pictures I took of Joshua and Wilson  :)

We can only hope that this is a good sign that Boy #2 and Boy #3 will have many good times together in the future.
