Random pictures from last week...

Emmett and I had a busy week last week.  We had several play dates, spent countless hours hanging out together, and went down to Chambers Bay to explore the beach with Wilson and Ryan.  Good times were had by all!

Chambers Bay!

First bites!

Emmett took his first bites of food this week.  Ryan and I eat dinner at the table (most nights) with Emmett sitting right next to us in his Bumbo chair.  I was noticing that he was watching our every move as we ate (I figured that maybe he was feeling left out) so I mixed up a little rice cereal. As you can see from the pictures, he wasn't so sure about it. He has now had cereal for several days and he is getting much better at eating it and not making those adorable "yucky" faces.

Wilson was enjoying all the excitement!

All cleaned up and happy! Although he still has a bit of a concerned look on his face.

A Trip to see RaRa!

We finally made it up to Everett to see Rara (it has been WAY to long) and Emmett was very happy to see his Great Grandma.

First, Rara and Emmett had a little snuggle.

Then we received a very sweet gift from Julia.  He will have to grow into it but there is no doubt that Emmett is a true Sounders fan.

Next, Emmett showed off his new tricks and Rara enjoyed watching him play.

Last, we busted Ryan for taking a nap (he swears it is the chairs fault).

Laughing!

Emmett laughed for the first time with his Buddha (my dad) about a month ago.  He often laughs for me but today he laughed for the first time with Ryan.  This may be my favorite Emmett moment to date. I am so thrilled that I was able to grab the Flip and catch this precious moment. I hope all my blog readers enjoy it as much as I do. I have watched the video countless times and it still makes me smile.

Playing...

The theory behind putting Emmett in his crib to play was so I could fold some laundry and tidy up the nursery...this theory did not work out so well. Instead of folding and cleaning, I took pictures and then played with him.
Hmmmm...is it any wonder my house is a mess?
