have noisy toys! I must have said this a million times when I was pregnant. Well...my plan hasn't really panned out. Although, we do limit the amount of noisy toys that enter our home as well as limit the amount of noisy toys Emmett has access to at any given moment, he still manages to fall in love with every noisy toy we own. The latest is the Fisher Price "CD" player. He loves it. He has been carrying it around all day and has taken the little discs in and out a million times. This morning this toy captured his attention for a full 30 minutes. Anything that holds an 18 month old boy's attention for that long gets my stamp of approval.

We are famous!...not really :)
After our great day at the zoo we actually were mentioned in the newspaper. How funny!!!

Zoo Boo!
Ryan wasn't feeling well this morning so I decided to take Emmett to Zoo Boo and let Ryan sleep in. I expect to be soaking wet but the weather was beautiful. The perfect fall morning.
We had a blast. Emmett made all his animal noises (his meowing at the baby tigers was my favorite), he kissed the seal statue and and went down the otter slide at least a million times. We also watched the tigers and sharks play with pumpkins. The highlight of the day was Emmett's pumpkin hat. We were stopped several times because people just had to tell us how cute it/he was including a reporter from The News Tribune (stay tuned to see if we made it into the paper). Our zoo membership continues to be one of our favorite birthday presents. It is so nice to be able head over for a couple hours and still be home for lunch and nap time. Zoo Boo was a success!

Mother of three? I am not so sure
Today I got a little taste of what it may be like to be the mother of three Hovey children. Although I did manage to feed and entertain the kids as well as make dinner, I am thinking that a five, three and one year old may be more then I could handle on a daily basis. Inspite of the chaos, these three munchkins sure did make me smile.

A crisp cool evening,
It was the perfect night for an evening walk before bath time. Emmett loved the leaves and stopped to point out every pumpkin along the way.
