oops! out of order post!

I just realized I never posted about carving pumpkins! We carved pumpkins the morning of Halloween. I was babysitting one of our favorite little girls and thought it would be a good idea to carve pumpkins with two one year old kids. Although I expected this to be a bit of a disaster, it turned out to be a lot of fun and the kids really enjoyed it.

 Some wicked bed-head!

Elliott did not approve of being left out of all the fun.

Final product. I know, you are astounded by my creativity :)

The best part of the day is that we found out that our friends get to start the adoption process and soon this sweet little girl will be legally their daughter. Once she is legal (she is already an official member of their family and ours), I will be able to post pictures of her adorable little face so you all can fall in love with her just like we have.

Officially a Kipper!

Not that it really matters, but Emmett moved up to the next level in swim lessons (i.e. he aged out of the other class so now he is the next one :).  Emmett loves swim lessons however on this particular day he had just spent the night with his Nana and Boppa and had fallen asleep on the way to class. Although these pictures are not the best, Emmett really does love being in the water and is typically all smiles during class.

The best part is that his friends Claire and Cole are in the same class (ok, maybe this is my favorite part) but sadly Cole was sick for the first class this session.

All smiles for mom. What a sweet boy.

 Jump!!!

I can't wait for him to be old enough to go down that giant slide into the big pool (which also means we will no longer have to get in the water with him for lessons every week).

Emmett loves to kick
but paddling and floating on his back is a whole different story.

All done!

Baby B turns one!

Barrett turned one last month and had a monster party which was so fun. The kiddos wore their Halloween costumes and everyone had a great time.

Great Grandma Dee was especially happy to have all five of her great grandchildren together in one house. We tried to get a good picture of the group but below is the best we would do.

After pictures Cheri had a little moment with her grand daughters. Precious!

Audrey was so proud to show off her new little sister. It was so great to meet Charlotte!

My big man LOVES a party and had a great time. Right after this picture, he ate his body weight in chili mixed with cream cheese...he was a happy boy.

Say cheese!

Chelsey (aka Claire's mom) agreed to take some pictures of Emmett for me in Mickey costume. It is so great to have a talented friend who likes to take pictures of your kid, I recommend everyone have one.
Here are a few pictures from our session in the park. Thanks Chelsey!

Num!

Emmett LOVES smoothies! They are his current favorite food. He stops drinking only to say "num" and always asks for more.

A Day in the Life of Mickey Mouse

In the past, Halloween was just one of those holidays that I did not enjoy. I found finding the perfect costume to be stressful and, as a teacher, the day was chaos. Now that we have Emmett in our lives it is a whole different story. I now love Halloween. Dressing Emmett up is so entertaining. My favorite part of this year was watching him go about this usual business with ears and a tail. We visited all the grandparents and two out of three great grandmas (I will send you pictures Rara :). Emmett loved being Mickey Mouse and got very excited to wear his costume. Here is a little glimpse into our day.

Hanging out with Great Grandma A's scarecrow.

Just having a snack at Gigi's house.

He loved his pumpkin. He wanted to carry it around all day.

Maybe he needs some more toys at Gaga and Buddha's house. He clearly doesn't have enough.

Time for some trick or treating!

Heading into Nana and Boppa's house.

He loved his witch from Nana and Boppa. He was so determined to push the button.
